Download SourceCreate a new document. Make the document 120*50. Fill the document background color #838383. Get out your ‘Rounded Tool’ Use the following settings:

Drag in a shape to fit into the canvas. For this tutorial, I will leave space at the bottom to create another effect later.Set the background color to #111111.


2: Right click on your shape layer and go to ‘Blending options’. Input these settings:

3: Create a new layer (shift+control N). Get out your ‘pencil Tool’ with a brush size of 2px. Set the foreground color to (#eee1cd). Make a horizontal line across the your rounded rectangular shape like this:

Right click on the pencil layer and go to ‘Blending Options’ input these settings:

4: Make sure you are still on the pencil layer. Go to layer > Layer Mask> Reveal All. Get out your ‘Gradient Tool’ With these settings:

Create the gradient shapes as followed:

5: Get out your ‘pen tool’ (use the same settings as before with the rectangular tool) and create a shape like this:

Go to filter> Blur >Guassian blur. It will ask you if you want to rasterize the layer. Click ok and input the blur setting 0.6
6: Go back to your original shape and highlight the shape.

Hold Ctrl on the vector mask to select the layer

Invert the selection.(Select > Inverse) Return to the previous layer (the one with the pen shape) and delete the selection.Deselect.(control+D)

7: Duplicate the layer and shift it over to the other side of the button so it is symmetrical.

8: Go back to your original shape and highlight the shape. Create a new layer (shift+control N) instead and go to Edit> Stroke. Input these settings and click ok.

Deselect (control D) the highlight. you are now going to use the same technique from step 4 on this layer. Go to Layer> Layer Mask> Reveal All. Get out your ‘Gradient Tool’ and with the same settings before. Create this gradient.

Your result (after an opacity drop to 75%):

Note: This layer is above the dark side shadows. if it is not, You might not see the effect!
9: Now it is time to make your text layer. Type out what you want it to say. I used ‘Franklin Gothic Medium’ for the italicised ‘name and gave it a (#e7e7e7) text color. Site is white.

Right click the layer and go to ‘Blending Options’. Input these settings:
